Program for State Dinner Honoring Prime Minister of Japan

This is the fourth page of an entertainment program for a State Dinner hosted by President Richard M. Nixon in honor of Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka of Japan on July 31, 1973. After-dinner entertainment was provided in the East Room by coloratura soprano Roberta Peters of the Metropolitan Opera. Peters was a frequent entertainer at the White House, performing for President John F. Kennedy through President Bill Clinton. This program was part of a personal collection belonging to former White House Executive Chef Henry Haller. As executive chef from 1966-1987, Haller oversaw the menus for over 250 State Dinners at the White House. To view the complete program, see 1126679.
